True Foxes, a rising folk/americana family duo, are quickly gaining popularity in the South West and beyond.
Amie, with her soulful vocals and earworm song writing, has been compared to artists such as Brandi Carlile, Karen Carpenter, and Dolly Parton, accompanied by guitar, ukulele, banjo, and piano. Chloë complements Amie's vocals with ethereal harmonies and melodic bass lines. The duo's sisterly banter adds an emotional dimension to their performances.
If you're a fan of First Aid Kit and The Secret Sisters but with a touch of British influence, you'll definitely enjoy True Foxes.
Referred to as the "Hardest working female duo in the South West" by BBC Introducing, the self-managed True Foxes performed an impressive 140 shows in 2022, surpassing their own record by September 2023.
Traveling in their little white van, the duo has taken their music from the South West to major cities across England, Scotland, and Wales. They have graced the mainstages at major UK festivals, sold out shows, completed their debut headline tour, and shared the stage with renowned folk bands and acts such as Flats and Sharps, Steve Knightly, Willie and the Bandits, The Magpies, Sound of the Sirens, and Alex Hart.
Their performances have received rave reviews from prestigious venues like the Liverpool Philharmonic, The Royal Glasgow Concert Hall, and The Water Rats in London.
As they entered 2023, with an EP, two singles, music videos, and more than 200 live shows under their belt, they kicked off the year with a bang by being selected as "highly recommended artists" after their showcase performance on The Danny Kyle stage at Celtic Connections. They also had the privilege of supporting Show Of Hands - Steve Knightly shortly after.
The duo's first ticketed shows sold out, marking a milestone in their career when they embarked on their debut headline tour across the UK. On their return, they performed at over 30 festivals, including a packed house at Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Wychwood, Rock Oyster, Golowan, and Royal Cornwall Show. Their talent was recognized by BBC Introducing, naming them the artist of the week across 8 BBC radio stations.
With their EP "Sunny" and singles "17" and "How Are You Now" receiving regular airplay on radio stations across the UK, Europe, and America, the anticipation for their debut album, set to release in December, is growing quickly.
True Foxes are poised for a monumental year in 2024.
